Please review the booking management rules before scheduling your visit:

• Booking Fee: To activate a booking through the website, you only pay the booking fee in advance - 1 GEL per vehicle.
• Rescheduling:: If you wish to change the appointment time, location or  inspection center, you will need to make a new booking in accordance with the standard procedure.
• Cancellation Policy: Please note that if you cancel the booking or fail to attend the scheduled appointment, the amount paid is non-refundable.

To use this feature, you need to enter the vehicle’s license plate number and your mobile phone number. You will then receive a one-time verification code. After entering the code, the technical inspection deadline reminder will be activated for the selected vehicle.

You will receive an SMS notification 3 days before the technical inspection deadline.

You can easily book a technical inspection appointment through our website, PTI.GE. 
To activate the booking, you need to enter the vehicle's license plate number and contact phone number. You will then receive an SMS code at the provided phone number. After confirming the code, you can select your preferred date, time, city, and inspection center.
To complete the booking, you need to pay a 1 GEL booking fee, after which the appointment will be confirmed.

The deficiency depends on which warning indicator is illuminated.

The following warning indicators are grounds for failing the technical inspection:

• ABS – malfunction indicator for the Anti-lock Braking System;
• SRS / Airbag – malfunction indicator for the airbags and passive safety system.

The following indicator does not affect the technical inspection result:

• Check Engine – the illumination of this indicator alone is not a reason for failing the technical inspection, and no deficiency will be recorded solely for this reason.

The following is considered a minor deficiency:

• TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) – if this indicator is illuminated, a minor deficiency will be recorded.

Please note: Although a minor deficiency does not prevent the vehicle from passing the technical inspection, it must be corrected before the next technical inspection.

To successfully pass the periodic technical inspection, your vehicle’s tires must meet the following requirements:

1. Tread Depth (Minimum Permissible Limit)

• Tread depth is one of the key indicators of tire wear. The tread depth must not be less than:
• Passenger cars (M1, N1): at least 1.6 mm;
• Minibuses and buses (M2, M3): at least 2.0 mm;
• Goods vehicles (N2, N3): at least 1.0 mm.

2. Tire Compatibility on the Same Axle

• Tires installed on the same axle (both front or both rear) must not differ in:
• Size: the parameters of both tires (width, height, and diameter) must be identical;
• Tread pattern: the tires must have the same tread construction and an identical tread pattern.

3. Visible Damage: Tires must not have cracks, bulges, or other visible signs of damage.

4. Tire Age: The tire must not be more than 10 years old from its date of manufacture.

5. Fastening Elements: No wheel may be missing any of its fastening bolts.

If the vehicle is equipped with a Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) or Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) system — whether factory-installed or additionally installed — a valid inspection certificate for the gas-cylinder system must be presented during the periodic technical inspection. This document confirms that the system is technically sound and complies with the established safety requirements.

In addition, the vehicle registration certificate (technical passport) must indicate the fuel type (petrol/gas). If a gas system has been installed but this modification is not reflected in the technical passport, the vehicle information must be updated at the Service Agency.

Please note that the gas system compliance certificate and the identification plate form (blue background) are required at every periodic technical inspection. If the required documentation is not provided, or if the fuel type is not indicated in the technical passport, a major defect will be recorded, resulting in the vehicle failing the periodic technical inspection.

What Happens When a Vehicle Fails the Technical Inspection?

If a significant and/or dangerous deficiency is found during the initial technical inspection the vehicle is given a Defective  status and the owner is given 30 calendar days to correct the identified deficiencies
After correcting the deficiencies the vehicle owner must present the vehicle for a rei-nspection at a technical inspection center within the specified 30 day period;

Is the vehicle permitted to be driven during the 30day period after the inspection if it is assigned a Defective status?
 When a vehicle is assigned a  Defective status whether it may be driven depends on the category of deficiency identified

• If a Significant deficiency is recorded in the inspection report the vehicle owner is given 30 calendar days to correct the deficiency During this period the vehicle may be driven and no administrative penalty will be imposed if the vehicle is detected being driven on the road;
• If a Dangerous deficiency is identified the vehicle owner is also given  30 calendar days  to present the vehicle for reinspection However the vehicle must not be driven on the road during this period If the vehicle is detected being driven the appropriate legal measures will be taken in accordance with the applicable rules

Is it mandatory to have the re-inspection carried out at the same inspection center?

It is not mandatory to have the reinspection carried out at the same inspection center You may present your vehicle at any accredited technical inspection center including one located in another city or region There are no restrictions on the choice of inspection center for the reinspection.

Do I have to pay for the re-inspection if I present the vehicle at the same inspection center within 30 calendar days?
Yes the reinspection is subject to a fee.
In accordance with Resolution No37 of the Government of Georgia reinspection is no longer free of charge. This rule applies to any inspection center including cases where the vehicle is presented to the same center within 30 days.
The reinspection fee is:
20 GEL for M1, N1, O3 and O4 category vehicles;
30 GEL for N2, N3, M2 and M3 category vehicles.

What happens if I do not correct the deficiencies within the 30-calendar-day period?

If the vehicle owner does not present the vehicle for re-inspection within 30 calendar days, the vehicle will no longer be considered to have a valid technical inspection status. In such cases, if the vehicle is driven on the road, it may be detected by a video camera and subject to a fine.
After the 30-day period has expired, if the vehicle is presented again, the inspection will be conducted in accordance with the rules for an initial technical inspection, which requires payment of the initial technical inspection fee.

Is the vehicle fully inspected during the re-inspection, or are only the identified deficiencies checked?
During the re-inspection, the vehicle is not fully inspected from start to finish. The inspector checks only the components where deficiencies were identified during the initial inspection. In addition, the vehicle’s visual condition is also checked, including:

• Windshield;
• Headlights and reflectors;
• Bumper;
• Tire condition;
• Side and rear-view mirrors;
• Malfunction indicators on the dashboard (ABS, Airbag, SRS);
• Visable smoke.

If the vehicle fails the re-inspection, am I given another 30-day period to correct the deficiencies?
If the vehicle fails the re-inspection, no additional 30-calendar-day period is provided. The vehicle owner is given 10 calendar days to correct the deficiencies.
If the vehicle is presented again within this period, the inspection will be conducted in accordance with the rules for an initial technical inspection, which includes a full inspection of the vehicle and payment of the initial technical inspection fee.

How often must a vehicle undergo periodic technical inspection?
The deadlines for mandatory periodic technical inspection are defined by Resolution No37 of the Government of Georgia dated January 3 2014. The frequency of inspection depends on the vehicle category, year of manufacture, and intended use.
 

Which vehicles are exempt from the technical inspection requirement?

• Vehicles with a maximum design speed, as specified by the manufacturer, not exceeding 25 km/h;
• L category vehicles (motorcycles, quadricycles, and mopeds);
• O1 and O2 category trailers and semi-trailers with a maximum permissible mass of up to 3,500 kg;
• Vehicles that have been withdrawn from operation;
• Vehicles that have not been cleared through customs and/or have transit license plates;
• Vehicles of historical interest that are 40 years old or older from the date of manufacture.

Is it possible to undergo a technical inspection before the scheduled deadline?

Yes, it is possible to undergo a technical inspection before the scheduled deadline. However, in this case, the deadline for the next inspection will change, and the new inspection period will be calculated from the date on which the vehicle undergoes the inspection.
